Red Karavan were comminsioned by CTN Communications to create a global (yes, literally!) sting for international law firm Ashurst LLP.

With only two days to create both 30 second and 10 second versions, Head of 3D Andy Taplin took the route of creating the whole animation in After Effects, eliminating any costly render time using Maya.

Andy comments : "By using the Element 3D plugin, along with Trapcode's Particular and a range of complex mathematical expressions, Red Karavan were able to deliver this project at a fast pace. We felt that creating the globe and "network paths" in Maya would become an expensive option in terms of time, so using expressions in After Effects was a far more practical route to take."
